IXLA ID5-X Desktop Laser Printer

The ID5X is a desktop laser printer for medium volume laser engraving card personalization, specially designed to engrave banking credentials. It is equipped with a laser that is also suitable for processing metal cards.

The ID5X can be deployed either as a stand-alone unit or in cluster as part of a centralized solution. The basic version comes with a contactless chip encoder and a magnetic stripe encoder already included.

  • Vision System – The vision tools allow for pre-personalization product inspection, offset registration of laser engraving data and personalization verification by performing OCR/OCV checks.
  • C-CL Encoder – The ID5X is suited for encoding of EMV cards. The system verifies whether the data is applied correctly. Cards with malfunctioning chips are sent to the reject bin.
  • Magnetic Stripe Encoder – The inline magnetic stripe encoder can read/write 3-track magnetic stripes per ISO 7811.
  • Laser Module – The laser module allows front and rear engraving data, barcodes and graphic elements in non-tactile, embossed or indented modes.
  • Vision Quality Control Unit – Cameras cross-check all applied visual data and features with OCR and OCV functions..
  • Card Output Stacker – The card stacker ensures that the output is kept in the proper sequence.
