IXLA ID5 Desktop Laser Printer

The ID5 is a desktop laser printer for medium to high volume laser engraving card personalization, that can be deployed either as a stand-alone unit or in cluster as part of a centralized solution. It is designed to personalize and engrave ID and banking credentials. The ID5 is offered at two power levels to fulfill the performance demands that we classify as HD (High Definition) and HP (High Performance). Both versions have a jam-free, scratch-free modular transport system for flat engraving, CLI or MLI.

  • Vision System – The vision tools allow for pre-personalization product inspection, offset registration of laser engraving data and personalization verification by performing OCR/OCV checks.
  • C-CL Encoder – The ID5 enables the loading of personal data into the integrated electronic contact or contactless chip. The system verifies whether the data is applied correctly. Cards with malfunctioning chips are sent to the reject bin.
  • Laser Modules – All laser systems allow front and rear engraving of photos, data, barcodes and graphic elements in non-tactile, embossed or indented modes.
  • Vision Quality Control Unit – Camera cross-check all applied visual data and features with OCR and OCV functions.
  • Card Output Stacker – The card stacker ensures that the output is kept in proper sequence.
